We had the pleasure of working with Richmond Public Library staff for two Fridays in August while the library was closed for some renovations. A total of five library staff joined us in the LEAP computer lab over the two days to review our draft Digital Health learning plans. The staff provided valuable feedback about how to make the structure and content of the learning plans more user-friendly. They also helped us select the best websites and videos to include in the learning plans. We are incorporating their valuable feedback and look forward to sharing revised learning plans more broadly in within the next month.
This collaboration with the library staff was our first round of "alpha" testing, which is an internal stage of field testing. We are also getting valuable input from LEAP staff alpha testers. Next, we will move onto "beta" testing the Digital Health curriculum, which will involve testing it with adults who have more limited baseline digital literacy skills. We have been learning a lot about the difference between alpha and beta testing and look forward to making the Digital Health curriculum as engaging and useful as possible.
Please contact us If you are interested in reviewing our draft learning plans as either an alpha or beta tester. All input is very helpful!
